Before the call: authorization
When you start a per-minute call, we place a temporary authorization hold on your saved card for an amount that covers your expected talk time. A hold is not a charge — it reserves funds so the call can proceed without interruption.
If the hold is declined, the call is never placed and nothing is charged. Nafeesah's phone only rings after the authorization succeeds.
During the call: the timer you see is an estimate
The live timer and running estimate on your screen are provided for transparency only. They are not the basis of your charge.
If a long call approaches the authorized amount, we ask to extend the hold. If it cannot be extended, the call is ended so you are never charged beyond what you authorized.
After the call: the authoritative amount
Your final charge is calculated from the call duration reported by our telephony provider after the call completes. That verified duration — not the browser timer, not a manual entry — determines what you pay.
The remainder of the authorization is released back to your card by your bank, typically within a few business days.
Minimum durations
Each per-minute service lists a minimum duration. If a connected call ends sooner, the minimum applies. If the call never connects — no answer, voicemail, busy or a network failure — nothing is charged and the hold is released.
Rounding
Jaji bills either for exact connected seconds or rounded up to the next full minute, depending on the policy in effect for your session. The policy applied to each session is recorded with that session and shown in your history, so you can always see how an amount was reached.
Scheduled sessions
Fixed-price appointments are charged at the price shown when you booked, regardless of how the time is used within the booked window.
Statements, disputes and refunds
Charges appear on your statement under the Jaji billing descriptor. If an amount looks wrong, contact us before filing a bank dispute — we can review the verified duration and issue a correction quickly. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
